Counter space is the most contested space in any shop, and the unit that wins it is the one that holds the right number of facings in the smallest sensible footprint. We die-cut counter and shelf display units to the product rather than selling a fixed range of sizes.
The two-product pop-up
The format that suits most counters: two compartments, a divider, an upright header for branding or pricing, and a front wall low enough that the product is visible and reachable.
It arrives flat, pops up with locking tabs, and takes seconds to put together. That last point decides whether a unit gets used or left in the stockroom, because the person assembling it at a till point is usually doing three other things.
Adapted, not adjusted
Every element is set during design rather than compromised afterwards:
- Compartment count and width, from a single facing to a row of several.
- Divider positions, so each facing holds its product upright rather than letting it slide.
- Front wall height, high enough to retain stock, low enough to show it.
- Header size and angle, sized for the message and for the shelf above, which is often what limits the height.
- Footprint, worked back from what the retailer will give you rather than what looks generous on a drawing.
Board and print
E and B flute give a clean print surface and enough rigidity for counter-level work. Double wall is specified where the unit carries real weight, such as cans, jars or multipacks.
Up to two colours of flexographic print is applied in house on the same pass as cutting and creasing. Digital and litho-laminated print run through our print partners for units that need photographic artwork or a laminated finish.
Counter or floor
If the product needs more facings or more presence than a counter allows, the answer is usually a floor unit instead: see FSDU display units for small to medium free-standing displays in double wall board. For shipper-style display cases and the wider point-of-sale range, see product display packaging.
Getting one designed
Send the product, the number of facings and where the unit has to sit. We design on CAD, cut a sample on the digital flatbed and load it with real product before any tooling is committed, then manufacture in trade quantities.
Tell us what you are merchandising and we will design it and quote.
