A free-standing display unit has one job: to put product somewhere the fixed shelving does not, and to keep standing while it does. Ours are manufactured in strong double wall corrugated, die-cut to the product and the footprint, and shipped flat for assembly in store.
Built for the load, not just the look
The failure everyone has seen is a display with a sagging middle shelf and a lean. It happens when a unit is specified on appearance and the board is asked to do more than it can.
We design from the load upwards: the weight of a full facing on each tier, the number of tiers, the depth of the shelf and how the whole unit transfers that load into the base. Double wall board does the structural work, with the shelves supported rather than cantilevered and the uprights carrying the weight down the corners.
Sized to the space the retailer gives you
Footprint is usually fixed before anything else. Small to medium units have to fit a space a store will actually give over: an aisle end, a gap by the counter, a corner of a trade showroom.
From that footprint we work back to the tier count, shelf pitch and facings, so the unit holds a sensible quantity of product without overhanging its base or blocking a route. Shelf angle and front lip height are set to the product: enough to hold it in place, not so much that a shopper cannot reach it.
Printed or plain
Plain kraft suits trade environments, back-of-house merchandising and anyone who wants the product to do the talking. Printed units carry the brand.
Up to two-colour flexographic print is applied in house, inline with cutting and creasing, which covers logos, type, pricing panels and handling marks. Where a unit needs photographic imagery across the panels, digital print and litho-lamination run through our print partners. See our guide to print methods for which is worth the difference at a given run length.
Flat-packed, assembled in store
A display that takes twenty minutes to build does not get built. Units ship flat and fold up with locking tabs, with the number of assembly steps kept deliberately low. Where a unit ships filled, the outer case and the display are designed together so the pack protects the unit in transit and comes away cleanly in store.
Getting one designed
Send us the product, the facings you want, the footprint the retailer allows and the quantity. We design the structure on CAD, cut a sample on the digital flatbed, and load it with real product so the shelves are proven before tooling is ordered.
For counter-top and shelf-level units, see counter display units. For the wider display range including 0801 display boxes and dump bins, see product display packaging, or send us the brief and we will quote.
